The Coin Circular in shape was released 1985 by the Republic
of India to Commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Reserve Bank of India, minted in Copper
Nickel with raised rims on both faces with reeded edges, UNC weighed 5 grams
and 24 mm in Diameter

:
Front Face The Ashoka
Lion Capitol standing atop “SATYA MEV JAYATE” (Truth Alone Triumphs) on top of
numerical value “50” flanked on both sides with “PAISE” & “BHARAT” in Hindi
on the left and “INDIA” & “PAISE” in English on the right, all in arched
form near the rim.
Back Face : The Royal Bengal Tiger with Palm trees in the center standing
atop the dates 1935-1985. The legend “BHARATIYA RESERVE BANK” in Hindi on the
left and “RESERVE BANK OF INDIA” on the right top above the Bengal Tiger.
“SWARN JAYANTI” in Hindi and “GOLDEN JUBILEE” in English at the base of the
Royal Bengal Tiger, all
in arched form near the rim
